Good morning girls!
I hope you are all doing ok. I've loads of work to do today because I decided to take a break yesterday and enjoy St Patrick's Day. I dressed in green and FaceTimed all my family and friends and joined in with their celebrations remotely!
So, I don't know if you heard the news that our Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, made a really important speech on the telly last night. He spoke about how important it is that we are all keeping our distance from each other- that means no going out to play with groups of friends, no going to the shops to meet your pals and being really healthy about washing your hands. In the speech he also spoke about the important role the children of Ireland have in helping us all get through these unusual days. He has actually given you three jobs to do, and if the Taoiseach asks you to do jobs- you know you better do them! So here they are: 1. Ring and FaceTime your Grandparents lots. 2. Do your schoolwork 3. Ask your parents how you can help them.
I was thinking as well girls that it's Mother's Day on Sunday and normally your teacher would give you time to make a card for your lovely mammies. I know you can buy them in shops, but mammies love getting homemade cards too! So this week, make sure part of your creative time is making a card for your mammy. Make sure you write a lovely message in your card about all the reasons you love her so much.
Ok girls, I've got to get moving here and start work.

Ms Greene
