The Great olv 'rake off'!
We competed in the first 'Rake Off' in OLV against Ms. Bourke's 6th Class! We loved getting some fresh air and worked very enthusiastically and showed great team work skills. We made the school grounds looking very neat and tidy and in the process won a very yummy prize! Congrats to our competitors who we drew with, we're looking forward to our pizza party this week!
Scientists in room 7
After learning about photosynthesis (how plants make their own food), we tested various food samples with iodine to see if they contained starch. We were engrossed in learning during this lesson!

Room 7 complete their swimming lessons!
On Tuesday, 14th October we completed our 6 weeks of swimming lessons. We enjoyed every minute and our instructors were fantastic!
O.L.V.'s Art exhibition
On the day of the General Parent's Meeting, our pupils amazed everyone with their talents in a fantastic art exhibition. They really enjoyed seeing their artwork so professionally displayed, and their teachers and parents were extremely proud and impressed with their efforts!

Room 7 were very busy just before Saint Brigid's Day making their Saint Brigid's Day Crosses. They turned out fantastic!
Visit to the hugh lane art gallery
and garden of remembrance
On Wednesday 11th February Room 7 went on a trip to the Hugh Lane Art Gallery and Garden of Remembrance in Parnell Square. We saw some fantastic artwork from artists such as Francis Bacon and Harry Clarke. After our visit to the gallery we walked across the road to the Garden of Remembrance where we relaxed and enjoyed our lunch!
