Good morning Ladies,
We hope that you managed to get outside and enjoy that beautiful sunshine over the bank holiday weekend. It was just glorious!
☀

Now at this point, you are all aware of An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar's announcement of Friday evening. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to school this year.  For primary school students, this affects you girls the most. We completely understand that some of you may be feeling frustrated or upset at the moment (like we are) and that's ok, it's perfectly normal to feel this way. However, we cannot allow these feelings to get the better of us. As much as we'd all love to be back in school for May and June it just isn't safe to do so. We must all adhere to the health and safety guidelines issued to us from the government. We all have a role to play in keeping everyone in this beautiful country of ours safe.

As they say in show business 'The show must go on' and so we your teachers will continue to be your educators until the end of June. We will support and guide you through the remainder of the school year. We will do everything that we possibly can to prepare you for the transition into secondary school. In that regard nothing changes! We may not be able to stand in front of you in the classroom but we will continue to prepare work for you and communicate with you daily on-line through our blog.
Remember this, we are still here for you! All that we ask is that you do the same for us. Please keep working hard every day, log into the daily Roll Call and use the comment section in the daily blog post to ask us questions or even just to say 'Hello'.  Chin up! We've got this!

Today's blog recommendation is  'Ceol Connected' – Thomas Johnson and Tradoodle are putting on a free one live streaming of music, songs and musical games . They have set up a Tradoodle TV channel on YouTube – starting off at 2.00p.m. every day.

Last week we were thrilled to hear from Jackie that Room 1 had won the 'Best Attendance' award! Well done! We would love this week for Room 6 to win! You know how competitive we are girls so don't let us down!
Who is with us today?

Hi Natalia,
Wow! Your Dad made the RTE news! What a fantastic read. You must be so proud of him. How lucky we are to have people like your dad working with the GAA!
