Rolla 29th April

29/4/2020

Good morning girls,

Well our school is famous!! Did you all see Ms Greene on the tv last night? Wasn't she amazing! If you missed it you could watch it on RTE Player.

So how are you all doing? Myself and Ms Bourke are here having a virtual meeting. Every morning we 'meet' at 8:30 to plan. At the moment we are looking at planning for the next while. Thank you to the girls that have let us know how they are getting on with their work. We would love to hear more from you,  so could you please tell us
  • one thing you enjoy doing
  • one thing you find challenging

News from Ms Bourke
So yesterday I cut my fringe. It's a very interesting look! I now have three colours in my hair, blonde highlights, red undertones and mousy brown roots showing through. Remember we asked you to create a box to include all the things that you would like to do when things return to normal. I WANT TO GO TO THE HAIRDRESSER!!

News from Ms O'Dea
Well girls I'm really missing pizza, so yesterday I decided to make homemade pizza and it was delicious! I will post a picture at the bottom of the page. We are doing really well at signing in each day, so keep up the fantastic work girls!!

Who is with us today?!

Hi Leah,

Hi Ms Bourke
Hope you are well?
I'm enjoying everything but Busy at Maths.... it takes me a while to complete it every day.

Ms Bourke

Hi Olivia,

Thanks for that feedback. A few people have commented on maths. So we are going to remind everybody that 50 mins of maths: 20 mins tables and Mental Maths, 30 mins on Busy At Maths. So just stop at 30 minutes and continue from where you left off the previous day. ( Just like class really) Have you good internet access?

Hi Ms Bourke,

I'm enjoying doing all of my projects, they are alot of fun. One thing that I don't like though is how long the Busy at Maths takes me to do.
I hope you are coping well.

Jorja

Hi Jorja,
Thanks for that feedback. We are planning work for next week so that's good to know. Ms O Dea and I are going to remind girls to set a timer; 50 minutes on maths,20 mins max on mental Maths and tables and 30 minutes on MM. If you don't get that days B@M done in that timeframe, just stop and continue from there the following day.Have you good internet access?

Hi Ms Bourke I really enjoy the projects I have loved learning about space. Busy at maths takes me a while but is not too hard.

Hi Amy,
Thanks for the feedback. Ms O Dea and I are planning work for next week so it’s good to hear how you are getting on with different aspects of the work. We are going to remind girls to set a timer: 50 mins for maths, 20 minutes tables and Mental Maths and 30 mins for Busy At Maths. If you don’t get B@M finished in that time, stop and continue from there the next day. How does that sound to you? Do you have good internet access by the way?

Hi Amelia, great to hear from you. That is such a good idea, to do your work in the morning and then do your project work in the afternoon. No doubt you are working really hard and doing your best. I can't wait to see your projects when we get back to school. Take care of yourself and stay in touch, Ms O'Dea
