How we wish we were back in room 4 & 9 and seeing you lovely girls. We hope you all had a nice break and didn't eat too much chocolate!! So this morning your work for the next two weeks was put up on the website. Hopefully you have all had a look at it. One of the things that might help you organise your work, is if you write down each morning in your journal the work you are hoping to get done. And then tick it off when you complete it. I've written out a sample for today's work. Maths - tables x2 and ÷2, MM, BaM P2 Q 1-8 Gaeilge - Duolingo English - EIP, Better English P.60 plan Read at Home P 37 Spellings: mixture, gesture, nurture, culture, venture PE - Joe Wicks History - Diary You don't have to do this but it might help you to organise your work. Also look at the timetable we prepared together to help you with your work also. Let us know how you are getting on and stay in touch. Stay safe, Ms Bourke & Ms O'Dea Hi girls,
We hope you are keeping well and that you are staying safe. We are so proud of your hard word over the last three weeks. We know it hasn't been easy. So today we should have been getting our Easter Holidays. So for the next two weeks we are not setting any school work. This is a time for you to relax and take it easy. However we know that you may be a little bored as you can't meet your friends or go out and about as you usually would. So girls get involved in the challenges Ms Greene sets. Make sure you read every day (I am re reading Harry Potter!) it really is great for the mind. Make sure you get some exercise every day, whether it is going for a walk (making sure you follow the physical distancing guidelines) or doing one of the Joe Wicks exercise classes. And try to limit your screen time. All these things will really help you. There are lots of arts and craft activities that you can find on line. Also check out the 'Online Resources' tab on the school website. In the 'Maths Resources' there is a padlet with ideas for 5th and 6th class, where you can find apps and games. They are not just maths ideas but also science, coding and art. There are also other brilliant ideas, that don't all involve screen time, which can be found in the 'English Resources' section. Girls your main job also is to help out at home. Whether that is doing the wash up, or reading to a little brother or sister, You are great helpers in school so be a great helper at home. We are both really missing the girls in room 4 and room 9 and are really looking forward to hopefully seeing you soon, for a great chat and catch up. We love when you leave us messages so stay in touch. Now mind yourself and stay safe, Ms O'Dea & Ms Bourke |
