It's Thursday!

4/6/2020

Good morning world!

Today is Zoomday!

I am really looking forward to seeing everybody this morning! I am asking you to be a little patient as it is a first for some girls so there might be a few glitches while we all get used to our Zoom meetings. It is also the first time some of you have seen each other ( Ms O Dea and myself included!) so we might be feeling a little emotional. It's only natural.

I was talking to quite a few of you yesterday ..and your parents too. I just want to say how proud I am of the way you are engaging with the work we are setting you. It's not easy to stay motivated when studying in this way.But all of you are working away in whatever capacity that suits you..WELL DONE!!

Some people are worried especially about Maths in 6th. Lay that worry down now and leave it to us teachers. We will ensure that whatever you found difficult during the closure will be taught to you as part of the 6th class programme.

I will ring those of you I didn't get to talk to yesterday  on Friday. I am looking forward to that!

I am off to have my breakfast before ZOOMTIME! ('Interesting to conjugate the verb ZOOM..as Gaeilge too!!)

Ms. Bourke

Message from Ms O'Dea

Good morning girls

It was just great getting to talk to you and your parents yesterday. I didn't get to talk to all of you yesterday but I will try and contact you all over the next few days. It was great to hear how independent and self motivated you girls have become. You really should be so proud of yourselves, I know I certainly am.

Also the other news is that there is another Zoom call today woohoo. So it will be great to see you all soon. If you would like bring one piece of work that you are proud of to show to the class. There is no pressure to do this. Don't forget to have a quick read over the contract that you signed!

A few of the girls mentioned yesterday that they found it hard to read the answers to EIP and MM from Tuesday, so I am going to put them up to day again and hopefully they will be clearer. Also girls when you have corrected a week of EIP and MM, I would love if you could scan through what you got right and what you got wrong. Try to note down two things that you did really well in your EIP and MM and one thing that you found more challenging. So it could be for example you did really well in  shape and number pattern, and something to work on could be fractions.

Looking forward to seeing you all shortly.

Ms O'Dea

Good morning Elizabeth, it's Ms Greene here. Please ask your parents to check their spam/junk/trash email folders for an email from the school- we haven't received a contract from you and your parents, so we can't send the zoom details until we do. Ms Bourke and all the girls will be delighted to see you in the next Zoom call. Slán, Ms Greene
