Good Sunny Tuesday to all my Blog Fans out there!!
Wasn't the weather glorious over the weekend?
I spent most of it in my little back garden. Now that it's safe to socially distance with a few people in the open air I had friends around on different days. I felt I was in Spain ..sitting out eating and chatting until late in the evening. My daughter popped over too and ate her way through my fridge.
Today is probably going to be the last of these 'scorchers' for a while...so maybe just do less schoolwork today, just catch up tomorrow and go outside and enjoy this lovely sunshine!
Because it is June and traditionally our schoolwork would look a little different, you will find your work a little different too!
Did you notice?? Are you thrilled?? You have a reduced amount of English and Maths, some Gaeilge and an activity based on one particular subject area each day! They look really interesting too !I especially like the Geography activity for Friday..can you guess why?!!
Each day there will still be an option to do one of the Well Being activities..I have being doing some of them myself actually.
Thinking of you all,
Ms. Bourke
Message from Ms O'Dea
Good morning girls,
I hope you all had a lovely weekend and what a weekend it was. The weather was just fantastic. I was able to meet up with a few of my friends which was so nice. Even though it was a bit strange as we had to stay 2 metres apart, so it was more shouting a times than a conversation!! Today is meant to be another beautiful day and even warmer than yesterday. So make sure that you wear your suncream, drink lots of water and try to stay in the shade.
So you may have noticed that your work for the next two weeks has been put up on the website. The work is a little bit different, we have set English, Irish and Maths, but there is slightly less work set. However instead of History, Geography and Science work there is a daily task, Ms Cassidy has set a lovely task today so have a look at it. This is the link to it http://www.olvgns.ie/june-activities-block-1.html . You will also have your Daily Well Being Task and Ms Fleming has set a lovely mindful task this morning. If you have any questions about the work you can email me at [email protected].
Also from today I am going to start putting up the answers for Mental Maths and English in Practice, for you to correct. I'll put it at the end of this blog post. Please don't worry if you make mistakes, remember we learn from our mistakes.
Well done girls for taking part in the Walk for Niall. I did a lovely walk at 2pm on Sunday and was sending positive thoughts to Mrs Durnin and her family.
Stay safe,
Ms O'Dea
