September 2025

First of all, we would like to welcome all new 2nd class students to our school, as well as students joining us throughout all the class groups. We would like to welcome back all our pupils joining us for another school year. We hope this year is full of memories, laughter and lots of learning. 

We cannot believe that one whole month of this new school year has already passed. What a busy month it has been, from getting to know the new class teachers on the first day to testing, GAA lessons run by a past pupil, GAA matches, the NFL Leinster Championship, rugby lessons, cross-country running, and Camogie. Bí Cinéalta student poster competition Trips to Fighting Words for 4th class, the National Botanic Gardens for the whole school and the start of swimming lessons. 

Our senior GAA team from both 5th and 6th classes have played in 3 matches so far this month. For some of the girls, it is their very first time competing in any game. We are very proud of the hard work all girls have put into the training and on match days, and we can't wait to see how you get on during the rest of the school year. ​

Our 4th and 5th-class girls competed in cross-country running at DCU Park on September 24th. All girls had a fun day at the event, and big congratulations to two of our students for placing in the top 10 among all schools attending. 

Bí Cinéalta poster competition winners announced during assembly. Well done to all who participated. It was so hard for Ms Greene to decide between all our talented artists. ​

We had our students' council elections in each classroom from the 3rd class onwards. Every student who wanted to run for council had the opportunity to campaign in their own class, either with posters or speeches. Afterwards, all classes voted for who they would like to elect as the second council member in their class. The second council member is a randomised selection. ​

Congratulations to all girls who have received Principal awards at the first assembly of the school year.
