October has been an exciting month in school for the girls.
Our GAA team made it to the quarter finals. Sadly, we were defeated, but we are so, so proud of all the girls for making it so far in the tournament. They played their hearts out!
Rugby blitz - Our 5th and 6th-class girls have been doing weekly rugby lessons. On October 22nd, they competed in a Rugby blitz, playing in small teams against each other. The girls had a wonderful time putting into practice all they had learned over the weeks.
Library visits - Our 2nd- and 3rd-class girls had a lovely trip to the local library, where they were read a book and taught about how the library works and the activities available to the public. The girls had so much fun!
And of course, the highlight of October is celebrating Halloween in style. All girls dress up in their fabulous costumes and show them off around the hall in our Halloween Parade. Don't forget about the best-dressed contest; the whole school, staff included, had a brilliant time celebrating with music and treats. (P.S. Pictures to come.)
We hope all members of our OLV community have a lovely Halloween and enjoy the mid-term break. Be safe and see you all in November.
