Today we held a special school assembly to celebrate our 6th Class girls as they prepare to graduate from primary school tomorrow. The assembly recognised their excellent attendance, with awards presented for attendance during the April to June term, for perfect attendance throughout the month of June, and for those who have not missed a single day of school since the beginning of the academic year and principal awards. We also presented our first ever Principal awards, with the recipients nominated by our SNAs in recognition of their kindness, positive attitude, effort and contribution to school life. It was wonderful to acknowledge the commitment and dedication shown by all of the girls throughout the year.
We also marked the retirement of a much-loved teacher Ms. Brennan, in a truly memorable way. Past pupils returned to surprise her, presenting flowers and current pupils sharing their appreciation for the positive impact she has had on so many lives. The celebration concluded with the entire school singing together in her honour, creating a heart warming and emotional moment that will be treasured by all who attended. It was a lovely occasion for our school community to come together and celebrate both a special farewell and an exciting new chapter for our 6th Class girls.
To round off the day, the whole school gathered in the yard for some fun and friendly competition between the teachers and the 6th Class girls. There was plenty of laughter during a tug-of-war challenge that didn't quite go to plan, followed by an enjoyable basketball 'donkey' match. It was a fantastic way to end a memorable day, filled with fun, smiles, and special memories for everyone involved.
