Sports day was a huge success this year. Every class got a chance to compete in High jumps, long jumps, tag rugby, NFL, 100 meter sprints, javelin , just dance, GAA, parachute, football and the dance competition. Everyone had an amazing time and already can not wait until next year events.
What can we say but WOW! In the first-ever junior fingal GAA tournament, our OLVGNS Junior GAA team, made up of 40 girls from both 3rd and 4th classes, made it into the final. They played extremely well, and we are all so proud of all the girls who attended every training session and played in each match to get us to the finals. They played with their hearts and came runners-up in the tournament. Well done, girls!
The 3rd and 5th classes were invited to a Camogie blitz in Satanta Camogie Club on Wednesday, 28th of May. All the girls were excited for the chance to compete but mostly to have fun taking part. The 3rd class played so well in the junior event in the morning, and the 5th class in the senior afternoon event. They all played brilliantly, and we were proud of all the girls for participating, even when some weren't sure but gave it a go anyway. They all received a medal for participating and enjoyed the treats they received after the games!
Can you believe it's the last month of the school year? No, neither can we. Time has flown by! All the girls are looking forward to one of the best parts of the school year, which is, of course, the school tours!
The 2nd, 5th, and 6th classes are heading out the first week of June, and the 3rd and 4th classes are on their tours the week after. We also have Sports Day coming up on Friday the 6th, with a new event added this year—dance! We hope everyone has an amazing days on both their tours and sports day and any other events that is scheduled throughout the month! |
