Two sixth-class girls, Maci and Freija have taken on the new role in the school as sustainability managers - a very important role in our school.
The girls first set out to research everything about recycling for the environment to help with the school's new sustainability initiative. They created a slideshow presentation all about recycling that they worked on in the month of October and presented this to each class in the school in November.
Following this, Maci and Freija created a quiz in which the whole school competed against each other in the ‘Sustainability Quiz’ on the 23rd of November in the hopes of winning a homework pass for their class. Congratulations to our winners - 3rd class, Ms. Fitzgeralds.
The two lovely sustainability managers Maci and Freija also organise the collection of the compost and recycling bins every Friday and keep the school informed of how well we are doing. The girls also commissioned their super-talented classmates to create posters for the school on what can go into each bin to improve our sustainability.
