On Thursday the 26th of September Our Lady of Victories Girls National School celebrated the first ever SNA appreciation day in our school. We tricked our five wonderful SNAs, Margie, Lisa, Noreen, Orla and Shauna into thinking that the emergency whole school assembly that was called was for “bad behaviour” during our morning visit to the Church that morning but of course, it wasn’t which had our SNA’s very confused until the curtains were pulled on stage!
The SNAs were all invited up on stage where we had set up seats with handmade gifts, cards, flowers and chocolates to celebrate the amazing work they do in our school. They got to watch a video that was made of the students telling them thank you for all they do and why they are loved in our school. A small number of students then got up and read out what they wrote about each SNA, each kind word brought tears to our SNAa eyes. We finished this wonderful celebration by singing a song.
One of our SNAs was absent on the day but got to join in the festivities over the phone and then got a surprise visit from a student who hand-delivered her gifts to her.
