Autumn has well and truly arrived and the signs can be seen all around us....

• The air begins to feel crisper, especially in the morning.
• Temperatures begin to drop.
• The days are getting shorter as the mornings and evenings are darker.
• The leaves of trees begin to change colors and fall to the ground. (except evergreen trees)
• Autumn colors begin to appear everywhere. Reds, oranges, yellows, and browns begin to make the world a lovely place.
• Acorns, pinecones, and sycamore “helicopters” fall to the ground.

Today we collected leaves, acorns and pinecones. We brought them back in to the classroom and used them as some inspiration for art. Check out our pictures below.

Today marks National Fitness Day in Ireland.

National Fitness Day provides a platform for everyone to take a pledge to help get Ireland fitter. The day is dedicated to celebrate physical activity in Ireland and encourages everyone to get involved to make Ireland more active.​

To celebrate the day we took a trip over to Albert College Park. We climbed ropes, swung from monkey bars and used up lots of energy running around and having fun. Check out the pictures below.

Today we went on our annual trip to the Botanic Gardens to view the sculptures.

We were so lucky that the sun was shining and we could really enjoy our time walking through the gardens, admiring all the wonderful sculptures. Some of our favourites were The Tin Man, The Magic Door and the Bee Hive. Check them out in the pictures below.
